Yesterday was GORGEOUS. Temperature in the upper 70s, a gentle warm breeze. I took a walk on my lunch break and enjoyed a cloudless, blue sky. The kind of blue they write about in songs and name eyeshadow for.
This morning I leaned out my bedroom window (no screen and I like it that way) to look at the apricot tree. It just started blossoming about two days ago and it looked so lovely. A million tiny white and pink blooms all over the spindly branches. I meant to take a photo but had to get to work.
And now? We are in the middle of a SNOWSTORM. About four inches of dense, heavy snow on the grass out back, and yep, about 3-4 inches weighing down those tree branches and freezing the blossoms.
No apricot jam this year I guess.
